Our Story
The Daniel Generation Network (DGN) is a Durban-based non-profit and Public Benefit Organisation(NPO/PBO) that was founded by members of Potters House Ministries, located in the community of Umhlatuzana, KwaZulu-Natal. Registered in accordance with the relevant South African legislation, namely, as a non-profit under the Non-Profit Organisations Act and seeking Public Benefit Organisation status under Section 30 of the Income Tax Act.
DGN was established in direct response to the deepening socio-economic challenges confronting vulnerable groups in South Africa. Although it primarily arose as an initiative to bridge critical gaps in education, elder care, and child welfare within under-resourced and rural communities in and around Chatsworth, the organization is driven by a holistic and inclusive vision that empowers individuals at every stage of life.
Vision
To educate, emancipate, and empower individuals and communities, thereby establishing a future where every person is equipped with the knowledge, freedom, and resources necessary to thrive with dignity, resilience, and impact.
Mission
The Daniel Generation Network is steadfastly committed to addressing the multifaceted challenges confronting local communities through the strategic delivery of comprehensive support programs in education, healthcare, social welfare, skills development and community development.
By forging enduring partnerships with local groups, community leaders, and stakeholders, we endeavour to implement transformative initiatives that yield lasting improvements in quality of life. Together, we create opportunities and spread hope, paving the way toward a future in which every individual can thrive with dignity, resilience, and opportunity.
